Failure Analysis

The best laid plans of mice and men... can benefit from an analysis by a metallurgical engineer.

Flexible Analysis

Small jobs, big jobs, fast jobs, expert witness jobs (slow jobs).

Our failure analysis services aim to work with what you need. I realize that everyone's budget is different and the required scrutiny varies as well. Sometimes the intention is to prove who was at fault and sometimes the intention is to fix a design/manufacturing flaw. I will listen to your request and come up with the most suitable solution.

Characterizing Failure Mechanism

Our analysis will characterize what the failure mechanism was, from cracking to corrosion. We can also offer a multidisciplinary approach, if necessary, to bring in structural, mechanical, and process engineers.

I'm not an expert in every material and failure mechanism, but there is a good chance I have a colleague that knows your material.

Effective Reporting

I pride my report writing as being able to effectively convey concepts; whether it is presenting to a fellow metallurgist or someone with less technical familiarity. Clients always have the opportunity to provide feedback on the report and if any clarification/discussion is required, I'm happy to oblige.
